Tough Homecoming Loss for the Blue Dukes
Cedarburg led a 35-10 offensive against Whitefish Bay on their home turf Friday night.
The Whitefish Bay Blue Dukes came into Lubar Stadium energized with school spirit Friday night, but unfortunately, the Cedarburg Bulldogs had an agenda of their own, leading a 35-10 rout on Bay's homecoming night.
The Bulldogs got off to a quick 14-0 lead in the first couple minutes of the game, and the Blue Dukes weren't able to rebound for the rest of the game. Whitefish Bay's Colin Downing kicked a field goal in the third quarter, and Tommy Friesch scored a touchdown in the final minutes of the game.
With the loss, Bay's record drops to 3-2 in the North Shore Conference and 5-2 overall. The Blue Dukes will face off against another conference foe, the Port Washington Pirates, next Friday night at Lubar Stadium.
