ReplyWhat makes any anti-gun propenent believe that if the government is successful taking away or severely hampering one Constitutional right, that they will stop there? Drunken drivers kill far more people than people using AR15's, what do you propose to stop them? Does anyone realy believe that in a country that "maybe" stops 10% of the illegal drugs smuggled into this country that the government will keep illegal guns from being smuggled...please. Is it fair then that the millions of responsible gun owners should be punished for the actions of a crazed few and in light of the fact that the criminals will still be able to buy assault weapons on the black market? The world is growing more violent, buy and learn how to properly use a gun. It is our right and responsibility to do so. The police can only do so much and so fast. Do proponents believe for one second that mass murderers that wish to kill won't do so because that can't get an AR15? To believe that you would have to be an idiot.

ReplyGee, It looks like "I'll be sorry" warnings I received if/when Walker was re-elected just aren't going to be realized after all.Good job Governor. Sorry Dems, false alarm to say the least. However, if Obama gets re-elected we'll ALL be sorry for decades, we'll become the USSA.

ReplyThe current degradation of the city of Detroit is the wake of the unions. Is/was it really about the best needs of the employees? Or was it all about the unions welfare all along? ($) We already know that answer. Are thousands of unemployed autoworkers and a shuttered ghost town good for the economy? That ripple effect is being felt all over the country and people with common sense are stepping forward to say "enough." Are tax breaks for employers that create new jobs or can afford to keep those employees they have a bad idea? Only if you're a democrat.

Reply@ Ed, take a look at bankrupt Illinois and the union's contributions to eternal corrupt fiasco. Why is it so hard for the left to understand that broke means broke? Why is it so hard for the left to grasp that unless you want European tax rates rates at 50+ % and a Socialist society that sometimes the government has to no. Bullying has been the norm for unions for too many years. Automakers were forced into paying wages and benefits nearing $100 dollars and hour on average because the strongarm union tacticss drove them to it. The result? Layoffs were necessary, Downsizing was necessary. Automation was necessary, Overseas production became more cost effective and decent cars are still 40 to 50 grand. Not to mention that the big 0 thought it was necessary to give them billions of OUR tax dollars to keep those unions happily employed. 16 trillion is 25% of the entire worlds GDP.

Lyle, the value of my comments is your opinion and for me, yours weren't worth the time it took you to type them. And yes, in my opinion Obama is way out of his league, he's winging it (poorly) and he has developed a keen talent to lie with a straight face ( as most politicians have). He's a Marxist and would like to ammend the Constitution to suit his far left agenda...just like this forum is about. If you're still angry about Walker's victory...oh well.

Slander and hate speech are often completely different assaults. Censorship and even being "politically correct" on the other hand are at the root of Marxism and Communist principles. (look it up) Principles that ultimately lead to personal penalties for speaking such that the government believes is harmful to said government/order. WE must do everything in our power to protect OUR RIGHTS of free speech or pave the way for Socialism (as Obama is pushing) or Communism to replace our Democracy. Sticks and stones people....its time for some...no, all ethnic groups to grow up.

ReplyCensorship of speech is wrong, hateful or not. Once we start limiting what can be said, we will lose far more than hate speech. China and North Korea are prime examples of "controlled" speech.

There is no denying that Obama's philosophy is divide and conquer.
