Two boys ran up behind a 15-year-old girl and stole her bag on Ardmore Avenue last week, according to Whitefish Bay police reports.
A 15-year-old Whitefish Bay girl was robbed of her shoulder bag while walking to band rehearsal at Whitefish Bay High School last week. The girl told police she was walking down the 4900 block of Ardmore Avenue when two boys ran up from behind her, took her shoulder bag, and left in a get-away vehicle around 7 p.m. Jan. 15, according to the police report. The girl was not able to identify the suspects. The girl told police she purchased the bag in Mexico for $15. Inside the bag was a piece of Whitefish Bay athletic apparel valued at $50 and a sheet music book valued at $100, according to the police report. A 20-year-old Milwaukee man is accused of trying to flee a Glendale police officer and was only stopped after hitting two different stop sticks during a high-speed chase near Bayshore Town Center. Bryant B. Oglen Jr. was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Monday with one count of attempting to flee a traffic officer. If convicted, he faces up to 1½ years in prison and $10,000 in fines. According to the criminal complaint: At 4:15 p.m. Saturday, Glendale police were called to the Bayshore Town Center on reports of a reckless driver in a blue Chevrolet Impala.
