Police Report: Smashed Pumpkins and a Burglary

Whitefish Bay police responded to a report of a burglary, a diamond theft from a local jeweler and smashed terracotta pumpkins.

Four burglaries have been reported to Whitefish Bay police in the past two months. An iPad and iTravel speakers were stolen in a burglary that occurred between 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 24, marking the fourth burglary in the past two months. Previously, burglars struck Cramer Street on Sept. 24; the 4800 block of Ardmore on Oct. 3; and again on the 4800 block of Ardmore Avenue sometime between Oct. 1 and Oct. 14. In the last Ardmore burglary, a Dell laptop was stolen. Another burglary was stopped in progress in the 6100 block of Lake Drive at about 9:30 p.m. Oct. 31. The homeowner confronted a suspect attempting to enter the rear patio doors of the house, and the man fled westbound on foot through the yards. Police were unable to locate…

Two Home Burglaries Reported Last Week

Whitefish Bay police are investigating two burglaries on the west end of the village last week. In both cases, the burglar entered through an unsecured window.

Glad to hear you read the Patch faithfully! I think I remember similar theft reports from the basement storage area, but again, I'm just going off of memory. The Patch articles are probably out there somewhere, I just can't find them right now.   more ›
