Police Use Taser Gun on Uncooperative Drunk Driver

A 26-year-old man allegedly resisted arrest after he was awoken from 45-minute nap in his vehicle on Oakland Avenue.

Whitefish Bay police used a Taser gun to subdue a 26-year-old Milwaukee man who resisted arrest on Feb. 16. A resident called the police at 11:42 p.m. after noticing a man had been sleeping inside a vehicle with the engine running and the headlights on for about 45 minutes on Oakland Avenue between Cumberland Boulevard and Hampton Road. When a Whitefish Bay officer approached the vehicle, the officer had to knock on the window several times to awake the man, who was sleeping with the seat reclined. After rolling his window halfway down, the man told police he was waiting for his friends. Upon further questioning he told police that his friends live on the east side of Milwaukee. The man denied consuming any alcoholic drinks that night. …
