Pick 'n Save has been throwing me some cheapskate curveballs recently. First they messed with their sale schedule making my head spin...thank goodness we're back on track. Then, for whatever wacky reason, I haven't been receiving a flier in the mail for the past month or so. This is crummy on two levels...one being I've missed out on those snazzy coupon booklets and most importantly, flipping through Pick 'n Save's website to match up deals is a pain in the pants. But I have to put on my happy face and recognize we're still lucky duckies to have a store so close by that lets us indulge in Double Daze on Wednesdays AND Saturdays! That means, you can double up to 5 coupons in each transaction (if you need to double more, just split your …

Walgreens makes saving is pretty easy with their Register Rewards program. Each week there are oodles of deals which produce Register Rewards, or RR for short. They will print with your receipt at the checkout and can be used on future purchases like cash. There are a couple caveats though. You can not use an RR to purchase an item from the same brand as what the RR originally developed from. When you use the RR just make sure you do not use it to buy other items from said company. Also, if you're using manufacturer 'pons make sure you do not have more items in your transaction than you do manufacturer coupons. It's just one of those little trip-ups Walgreens is famous for. You can use an item that is on sale with a store 'pon. Those don…

Howdy my fellow last minute shoppers! Paralleling quite well with my procrastination is good ol' Double Daze! That means, you can double up to 5 coupons! As you know, Double Daze means that a $1 coupon will double to $2! Just remember your total must be $25 after swiping your Pick 'n Save card per store policy to have the ability to double your coupons. But that total is BEFORE coupons! Here's some sweet deals I found with coupons you can print right off your computer that are good TODAY ONLY...and always remember to hit the back button on your browser to print two coupons total! 1. Stouffer's Farmer Harvest Meals -- 5 for $11 (must buy 5 to get this price) Final cost after doubling your coupon: $1.58 each! 2. Kellogg's Cereal, Pop-…

Walmart has one of the most coupon friendly policies out there--score one for the couponers! Two of the most notable faves of their policy is overage and price matching. Overage means you have a coupon that scores you a free item plus there's a profit made. We also call this a Money Maker. For example, say you have a $5 off any Bengay product coupon and you buy Bengay for $4.23. You will have an overage of 77¢ and you can apply that 77¢ to the rest of your order! Price matching is a fairly new addition to the Walmartosphere. It means that if any other store has an item on sale cheaper than what Walmart's price is, they'll give it to you for that price. Now, their policy says you don't need the advertisement or flier stating the price you'd…

Yup...same with 'em all. I usually will split up my transactions...it hurts my brain to do all that math...but it's worth it for all the savings. :)   more ›
