Girls Track Team Earns Another Conference Title
Emma-Lisa Murphy led the long-distance events, while Sofie Yang took first in pole vault and Hannah Schwartz won high jump. The boys finished third in the conference meet.
For the second year in a row, the Whitefish Bay girls track team has established itself as the best in the North Shore Conference. The girls significantly outplaced their nearest rivals, Germantown, with 118 points to the Warhawks' 100 points. Senior Emma-Lisa Murphy led the girls squad, winning the the one-mile race with a time of 5:07 and the two-mile race with a time of 11:42. Other Whitefish Bay girls also excelled in the two-mile race, including sophomore Alana Blegen's third place finish (12:28) and junior Jenna Wirkus' fourth place showing (12:33).
