Whitefish Bay Kitchen Remodel Earns High Acclaim

Whitefish Bay interior designer Leslie Dohr recently received high honors for her work on a Lake Drive kitchen remodeling project.

A kitchen remodel in a Lake Drive home is so impressive it won critical acclaim from the state's interior design organization. The Wisconsin Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers recently bestowed the Platinum Award, its highest residential design honor, to Leslie Dohr, ASID, for her work on a Lake Drive kitchen remodeling project. The chapter's 37th Annual Celebration in Design Awards was held at the Historic Pritzlaff Building on on March 14.  Leslie Dohr Interior Design LLC provides interior design consulting for both residential and commercial projects and is based in Whitefish Bay.

Interior Design Trends Freshen Homes for Spring

Area designers suggest seasonal ways to change interior spaces

“Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.” Great advice from William Morris, 19th-century artist, textile designer and writer.  Home design trends change about every five to seven years, said Karen Golden of Golden Interiors in Port Washington. Builder, Interior Designer Join Forces in Renovated Space

Susan Fredman Design Group unveiled its new space within the James H. Hoffman Homes storefront with a ribbon cutting ceremony Saturday afternoon.

If you're going to build a home with James H. Hoffman Homes, you can now start thinking about the inside of the home by tapping into the in-house expertise of a 35-year interior design guru. The building business that has been located at 401 E. Silver Spring Dr. for the past two years introduced Susan Fredman at Home to Whitefish Bay at a ribbon cutting ceremony Saturday morning. After gaining village approval in August, the space was completely gutted, and in a period of two months, the new studio was outfitted with hardwood floors, reclaimed wood from a Wisconsin barn and old telephone poles from the area.
