With a win over Cuba City Thursday night, the Knights now prepare for a state championship battle against the Auburndale Apaches Saturday afternoon.
The Dominican boys basketball team will return to Madison Saturday to defend their Division 4 state title in a WIAA championship game against Auburndale. The Knights beat Cuba City 55-47 in a state semifinal game in Madison Thursday night. Dominican beat Cuba City in the state final game last year to win the Division 4 title, but Knights coach Derek Berger said they never underestimated the Cubans' ability. "It was a close game," Berger said. "Our defensive pressure turned up a little bit, we were able to force a few turnovers and we were able to get some easy buckets that really opened up the game for us." The Lady Knights lost 45-32 to the Prairie School Lady Hawks Wednesday night in Kenosha.
The Prairie School Lady Hawks took on the Dominican Knights Wednesday at Bradford High School. Both teams played hard to keep their journey going to the WIAA state girls basketball tournament. In the end, the Hawks pulled out the win, 45 to 32. The Hawks will move on to play the winner of the St. Mary's Springs-Markesan game at 3:30pm at Arrowhead High School.

The Knights beat a previously undefeated Laconia team in a sectional final Saturday afternoon.
The Dominican boys basketball team is headed to the state tournament to defend its Division 4 title. The Knights (22-4) defeated Laconia (25-1) 52-39 in a WIAA Division 4 sectional final at Brookfield Central on Saturday afternoon. Senior Duane Wilson led the Knights with 22 points, and sophomore standout Diamond Stone scored 15 points. Dominican will face undefeated Cuba City in the state semifinals at 8:15 p.m. Thursday at the Kohl Center in Madison. Dominican beat Cuba City in the state final game last year to win the Division 4 title.

The defending D4 state champions earned a 82-62 victory over Young Coggs Prep Saturday night.
The defending Division 4 champion Dominican boys basketball team will advance to sectionals this year after a 82-62 win over Young Coggs Prep Saturday night. Young Coggs was seeded fifth in its sectional bracket, while Dominican is seeded first. Duane Wilson led Dominican in scoring with 26 points, while sophomore Diamond Stone scored 22 points. D'Landric Winzer led Young Coggs Prep's scoring with 35 points. To get to Saturday night's game, Dominican had to beat out HOPE Christian, which it did with an easy 95-50 victory on Friday night. Wilson scored 28 points in that game, and Stone scored 17 points. With Saturday night's win, Dominican will advance to play Kenosha St. Josephs at Milwaukee South at 6 p.m. on Thursday. Despite language boundaries, four Chinese exchange students are able to make huge theatrical contributions to Dominican High School's production of 'Phantom of the Opera'.
Dominican High School's production of "Phantom of the Opera" showcases a unique international flexibility from four boys on the stage. Those four boys came to Dominican from China through the Wisconsin International Academy. Kevin Zhao (playing "Passarino"), Jaron Ton (Monkey and Ensemble) and Tommy Tang (Guard and Ensemble) arrived in the country about six months ago. The classic Andrew Lloyd Webber musical will hit the Dominican High School stage Friday and will run through Feb. 24.
Dominican High School’s award-winning theater department will unveil its production of the world’s longest-running musical, Phantom Of The Opera on Friday. Phantom Of The Opera’s soaring music, gorgeous staging and incredible technical challenges will showcase all of Dominican’s versatility and talent. With songs like “Think Of Me”, “The Music Of The Night”, “All I Ask Of You” and many more, this beautiful story will captivate audiences February 15-17 and February 21-24. All performances will take place in the Dominican High School auditorium at 120 E. Silver Spring Drive, Whitefish Bay. Performance dates and times are as follows:

Choirs and band perform Christmas songs both secular and sacred at 7 p.m.
Dominican High School’s annual Christmas Concert is a free event at 7 p.m. Thursday in the high school auditorium. The chamber choir, concert choir and band will perform secular and sacred Christmas songs. Here is a bit of the chamber choir rehearsal on Tuesday afternoon at the school.

More than a dozen students are sharing their culture with Dominican High School students through the school's first-ever foreign exchange program.
Four month months ago, 13 teenagers traveled halfway around the world to attend high school with kids of different races who speak a different language. Now, after nearly a semester, the Chinese exchange students at Dominican High School have found a way to adapt to life more than 11,000 miles from home. The students came to Dominican through CERNET, a Chinese government agency that aims to prepare students for higher education in the United States. This is the first year Dominican has participated in the CERNET program, which is administered here by the Wisconsin International Academy. The students meet once every two weeks in the high school art room, where art teacher/international student coordinator Lindsey Dineen talks with them …
