The state Senator from West Bend published a press release saying it's a holiday "almost no black people today care about." Vote in our poll on the subject.
State Sen. Glenn Grothman's opinion about Kwanzaa — that it is a false holiday that "almost no black people today care about" conjured up by a racist college professor and perpetuated by hard-core liberals — was strongly rebuked by a local Democratic Party leader. Patch users have commented passionately on both sides of the issue, some agreeing, some not and others seeing a couple sides of the argument.
