Two Vehicles Stolen in Whitefish Bay Last Week

The police department is reminding residents to lock their doors and not leave their keys in their car after two car thefts and two auto entries last week.

Two cars were stolen last week, due to vehicle owners leaving their keys in the car. The first car was stolen in the 2000 block of Glendale Avenue, sometime between 11 p.m. Wednesday and 5 a.m. Thursday. The keys were left in the car. The vehicle was recovered later in the day in the 4400 block of Oakland Avenue. Another vehicle was stolen in the 4700 block of Cumberland Avenue sometime between 8 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday. The vehicle was unlocked and contained keys to the vehicle. The vehicle has not yet been recovered. Whitefish Bay Police Chief Michael Young said the police department is investigating the car thefts, but has not yet identified any suspects. Two Teens Caught in Theft of Parent's Jeep

They tried to burglarize a Fox Point garage, then led police on a chase using the K9 unit that ended near Cardinal Stritch University.

After a lengthy chase through Fox Point, a Whitefish Bay and Glendale teen were cited after stealing a jeep and rummaging through a Fox Point garage. At 7 p.m. Jan. 8, a woman in the 200 block of West Indian Creek Court in Fox Point returned home to find a young man running down her driveway from the open garage, jump into a Jeep and take off. According to the Fox Point police report, the driver of the Jeep actually waved to the homeowner as she drove into the driveway. After the teen took off, she went into the garage and noticed the passenger-side door of her husband's car was ajar. A leather wallet with no money in it was missing from the car. Sarah- Maybe I wrote something that was misinterpreted, but I took the articles to mean that there were only 2 involved as well. Any reason why the WFB teen got or seemingly got off so easy? They both were on hunt for places/garages to rob; they fled the scene of the "crime", they eluded police as they were being chased and it was a lengthy one from what the article states. Police Report: One Stolen Car, Two Drunken Door-Knockers

Two reports of intoxicated individuals knocking on strangers' doors, and another report of a drunk driver that was driving on a flat tire.

Whitefish Bay police are investigating a car theft that occurred in the 5200 block of North Diversey Boulevard sometime between 8 p.m. Friday night and 11 a.m. Saturday morning. The vehicle, a 2007 Honda CRV valued at $11,000, was parked in the alleyway. In other police news:
