Whitefish Bay police responded to a report of a burglary, a diamond theft from a local jeweler and smashed terracotta pumpkins.

Update: Four North Shore Burglaries Linked to Arrest

Recovered property tied to local thefts; no burglaries since Jan. 5 arrest.

Two Milwaukee men, ages 42 and 48, were arrested on search warrants through the Wauwatosa and Glendale police departments. Area police officials believe the men are responsible for more than a dozen burglaries in the surrounding area. “They retrieved quite a bit of evidence,” said Whitefish Bay Police Chief Robert Jacobs. “So far they’ve shared that with all of …

Police Investigate Rash of Burglaries

Whitefish Bay police are investigating a string of residential thefts and burglaries over the past two months. The burglaries started in November with small items taken from homes between Birch Avenue, Henry Clay Street, Lydell Avenue and Santa Monica Boulevard. More expensive items were taken in four burglaries over a one-week period this month. The rash of burglaries isn't unique to Whitefish Bay. "Shorewood has been experiencing the same thing — probably more than we have — and Glendale has as well," said Whitefish Bay Police Chief Robert Jacobs. "We're working with those departments to put an end to this." A television and jewelry were stolen from a house on the 400 block of East Lexington Boulevard sometime between 6:30 p.m. Dec. 23 …
