North Shore supervisor files notice of non-candidacy.
Milwaukee County Supervisor Joseph Rice, who represents much of the North Shore, has announced that he will not run for re-election in 2012. “Serving the people of the 6th District has been an honor and privilege and I am grateful to the people I represented for putting their faith and confidence in me," Rice said in a press release. "However I never intended public service to be my career and look forward to seeking new challenges and a new path." This comes with little suprise after a vote in August reduced the size of the County Board from 19 to 18 — eliminating Rice's seat.
