Enjoyed working at the top of the hill to get the path entrance weeded. Sorry I didn't meet the restRead More of you before I had to leave.

If you ban all the pesticides, all that is left are the pests.

We arrived half way through the weed out (after a t-ball game) and the event was already wrappingRead More up, as all the areas were assigned and nearly completed. Not sure it matters how many people were there: The job got done. It should be noted, to set expectations .. the lawn was NOT weeded. The ground was far too dry and hard for that to happen. The focus was on the many beds and path areas with/without mulch. Kudos.

Thanks for mentioning the lawn portion of it, Kevin. One could be led to believe that Klode isRead More essentially weed-free for the time being for all practical purposes w/o that bit of information.

That's probably useful to add to the story, actually. For those that haven't visited Klode in aRead More while, the grass is quite dry, so tearing out the weeds on the lawn likely would have left patches of dirt.

What are they going to pull? Its so dry the grass is brown and dry as a popcorn fart. The ground isRead More hard as the parking lot.

That sounds pretty cool! I personally think this is pretty neat, but I could never pull this off. IRead More have zero endurance for running, haha.

Absolutelyfabulous, That is a great question. Steve's coach is one of the men who made that runRead More across the Sahara, and yes, he has seen the documentary. The insights Steve received were extremely helpful in his preparation. Thanks, Brian D. Meeks Author, Lake Effect

I will be writing a story next week about Whitefish Bay High School's Make-A-Wish campaign, which isRead More raising $5,000 and will help a 12-year-old girl with a life-threatening heart condition fulfill her dream of meeting Taylor Swift. Very impressive stuff. If you have any ideas for individuals making a difference, you can comment below or email me at jeff.rumage@patch.com
