Free Ice Cream Social is Wednesday Night

The ice cream social will be held from 6:30 p.m to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Schoolhouse Park.

What better way to spend a night than eating free ice cream with several hundred of your (geographically) closest friends?

On Wednesday night, from 6:30 p.m to 8 p.m., the Whitefish Bay Civic Foundation will host its last Ice Cream Social of the summer in .

drew 1,200 people, who collectively took down 90 gallons of ice cream. Organizers are hoping for an even bigger turnout this go-around.

The family-friendly event features cones and bowls of chocolate and vanilla ice cream, along with your favorite toppings. The root beer for the root beer floats is provided by Sprecher Brewing.

The Whitefish Bay Community Band will play songs to entertain the crowd and maybe even encourage you to dance. This will be the community band's second-to-last concert of the season. The band's last concert will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the same location.
