WIAA Track: Area Relays Dominating in La Crosse

Brookfield East, Sussex Hamilton and Whitefish Bay set the pace Friday.

La Crosse – Sussex-Hamilton’s first-place finish in the boys 4x200 relay qualifier at the WIAA State Meet in La Crosse Friday was just one of many success stories for area relay teams.

The Chargers, per usual, have led the way taking first in the boys 4x200, first in the girls 4x200 and second in girls 4x100.

However, Hamilton was surprisingly knocked out of the 4x100 qualifier, as the team that normally competes for the top spot in every race, and fell to 17th after an apparent leg cramp by the anchor runner.
