Whitefish Bay Sweeps Waukesha South

With the two wins, Whitefish Bay improves its non-conference record to 12-9. The Blue Dukes hold a 6-6 record within the North Shore Conference.

The Whitefish Bay Blue Dukes swept Waukesha South in a double-header at the new Kapco Field at Concordia University Saturday.

The Blue Dukes won 8-7 in eight innings in the first game and 13-10 in the second.

James Stecker got the win in relief of Pat Rose in the first game. Hitting stars were Andy Conway who was 4-3 including an inside the park home run and a triple. And Grant Menard with a game-tying home run in the bottom of the 7th.

In the second game, Johnny Markwiese pitched a beautiful game to get the win, giving up only one run in 5 innings. Johnny also had a two-run homer in the night cap.

The Blue Dukes will play every night this week, except Friday, including an 11 a.m. game Saturday against Franklin. The boys play Monday night at home against Homestead.
