SportsEdge: The Week in Prep Sports

A video recap of the week in high school sports.

Whenever Whitefish Bay and Nicolet compete, it doesn't matter whether it's basketball or tiddlywinks — these North Shore neighbors are rivals. But add the physicality of rugby, and it's even more competitive. The two excellent programs squared off in the SportsEdge Game of the Week this week.

There are plenty more highlights in the Lightning Round, including soccer, golf, tennis and softball from all around the area. Watch SportsEdge to see if someone you know was captured by our cameras.

Brookfield Academy was a perfect 7-0 in conference play heading into Monday's game at Dominican. The Blue Knights are ranked No. 3 in Division 3 in the state coaches' poll, and have a victory over Waukesha North to their credit.

Now that better weather has allowed some track teams to strut their stuff, Hamilton's girls are in the top four of three relays on the state honor roll, according to WisSports.net — the 400, 800 and 1,600.

On the boys' side, Whitefish Bay's 42.58 tops the 4 x 100 relay honor roll, while Brookfield East is second at 43.02. Both were set last week in their respective conference relays. Bay is second in the 4 x 200 relay, behind Hamilton.
