Little League All-Stars Earn Top District Seed

Team plays Sunday, and a victory sends Whitefish Bay to Monday's final with hopes of advancing to state.

Whitefish Bay’s 11-12-year-old Little League All-Stars are the No. 1 seed for the District 1 Championships.

The team won its pool by defeating Glendale 3-1, Northwest 15-1 and Menomonee Falls-National 16-0, according to the Whitefish Bay Little League website.

Whitefish Bay faces the winner of Beckum and Glendale at 1 p.m. Sunday in West Bend. A victory would put the team into the finals at 6 p.m. Monday, also in West Bend.

The six Wisconsin district champions advance to the state tournament in Eau Claire. The winner advances to the Central Region championships in Indianapolis Aug. 2-11, with hopes of emerging to the biggest little stage of all β€” the Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA.

Whitefish Bay Little League has never played in the state final game, according to one website that lists all the tournament final game scores. Burlington has won the last two state championships.
