JV Tennis Team Wins Conference Title

The Whitefish Bay JV Girls' Tennis team took first place in the final conference match of their season.

Seven teams including Homestead, Nicolet, Port Washington, Grafton, Cedarburg, Germantown and Whitefish Bay competed Saturday, September 28th for the JV Conference title.

The Whitefish Bay team consisting of juniors Libby Stecker, Laura Yenchesky, Rachel Hutson, Eileen Comiskey, Elyse Monaghan; sophomores Maddy Eppli and Danielle Santa-Cruz; and freshmen Nicole Steinmetz, Jenna Marget and Grace D'Souza, all made it to the final round of play in the tournament.

Eight players took first place wins and two, second place wins giving the Lady Dukes an overall score of 38 out of a possible 42 points to take home a victory!

Coach Stephanie Beatty said she was proud of her team's performance.

"These girls came out and played to win today. We have so much depth and talent on our JV team of 30 players, it was difficult to pick 10 to come to Conference, but these young ladies played smart, competitive tennis and brought home a win for the entire team."
