Jack Schultz Helps Michigan to 10th in NCAA Golf Championships

Sophomore shoots 16-over through three rounds, including a pair of 2-over 74s.

Whitefish Bay's Jack Schultz helped the Michigan Wolverines to a 10th-place finish at the NCAA Division I men's golf championships in Stillwater, OK this week.

Schultz, a sophomore, shot 84-74-74 on the par-72 course and the Wolverines posted a three-day total of 892. That was just three shots out of the top eight teams, who all advance to match play.

He was the 2007 WIAA state champion, and in 2010 was a unanimous choice as the Big Ten Freshman of the Year with a stroke average of 73.67.
