Harrington Wins Duke Pride Award

Booster club honors athlete's dedication and attitude.

Duke Pride, the athletic booster club for Whitefish Bay High School, presented Patrick Harrington with its Duke Pride Award for the summer baseball season.

The mission of Duke Pride is to support the high school athletic department and student athletes in the areas of financial contributions and student and community spirit. The Duke Pride Award is given to a varsity athlete who has been nominated by teammates and approved by the head coach and activities director.  The purpose of the award is to recognize athletes for exhibiting qualities of outstanding dedication to their sport, being true team players and living by the principles of the athletic code of conduct and general school rules.

The selected athlete receives a certificate and a medal.  His or her name will also be inscribed on the Duke Pride "Hall of Fame" plaque located in the Fieldhouse lobby.
