Football Team Advances at State, Swimmers to Sectionals

Congratulations to the football team on their last Saturday in the second round of the WIAA playoffs.

The victory moves the team on to Level 3 versus Waterford at home on Friday at 7:00. This is the first time in school history Whitefish Bay has advanced to a third level football game. Tickets are $4 each and will be available at the gate. As this is a WIAA event no passes/student IDs are able to be used for admission. A pre-sale of tickets to help avoid long lines at the gate will be held on Thursday and Friday in the Activities Office. Tickets will be on sale from 11:30-12:15 and from 3:00-4:00 both days. Cross Country: Congratulations to both the boys and girls teams on their performance at state last Saturday in Wisconsin Rapids. The boys’ team took 15th place led by Nate Gomoll’s team high 19th place finish. The girls’ team took 8th place led by Emma-Lisa Murphy’s 12th place finish. has photos and finishing times. Girls swimming: The girls swim team will compete at the Sectionals this Saturday at 2 p.m. at Plymouth. Last Saturday the team took 3rd place at the Conference Meet in Cedarburg. Top 3 finishes for Bay were: 1st 50 Yard Free: Annelise Sprau; 1st 100 Yard Butterfly: Annelise Sprau; 2nd 200 Yard Medley Relay: Lissy Maercklein, Sarah Olver, Annelise Sprau, Caroline Kucha; 2nd 400 Yard Free Relay: Sabrina Raber, Sarah Olver, Lissy Maercklein, Annelise Sprau; 3rd 200 Yard Medley: Sarah Olver; 3rd 100 Yard Breaststroke: Sarah Olver
