Cedarburg, which then ranked 4-1 in the North Shore Conference and 5-1 overall, had outstanding pitching and excellent defense. Patrick Rose took the loss for Bay. The Blue Dukes simply couldn't muster any offense and had several defensive lapses, never really threatening the Bulldogs after the first inning.
