Blue Dukes Draw No. 1 Seed in WIAA Regional

Takes on winner of Shorewood-Messmer game on March 4 at home.

Despite some stumbles in the latter part of the season, Whitefish Bay drew a No. 1 seed in the regional round of the WIAA Division 2 boys basketball tournament.

The Blue Dukes lost to Grafton and followed up with a home defeat to Homestead, committing more than 20 turnovers in each game. Still, at 13-8 they are good enough to top the regional. They'll host the winner of the first-round game between Shorewood and Milwaukee Messmer.

The Blue Dukes are led by the duo of Ron Patten and Jamie Schneck, both averaging about 15 points per game.  They beat Shorewood 67-44 on Feb. 12.
