Bay Tops Conference Track Championships

Whitefish Bay girls won the indoor championships, while the boys team took second place.

Whitefish Bay had a strong showing at the North Shore Conference Indoor Championship meets this week. The girls won their championship meet at Homestead on Tuesday, and on Wednesday, the boys team took second to Homestead in the Whitefish Bay Field House.

Girls

  • The girls relay teams dominated the night, winning the 4x160 meter relay, 4x400 meter relay and 4 by 800 meter relay.
  • Hannah Lyons won the mile with a time of 5:31.63 and the two-mile with a time of 12:21.9.
  • Junior Lily Hayes won the pole vault with a nine-foot vault. 
  • Reilly Koch won the half-mile.
  • Kaitlyn Jackson took second in the 55-meter dash and third in the 200-meter dash.

Boys

  • Nate Gomoll took first in the one-mile and second in the two-mile.
  • Rashadeem Gray won the 55-meter hurdles and took 2nd place in the 55-meter dash.
  • Rhashad Gray won the high jump competition.
  • Tommy Friesch took third place in the 55-meter dash.
  • The 4x160 meter relay team took first place, and the 4x400 meter relay team took third.
