Whitefish Bay Boys Topple Cedarburg

After five-game winning streak, team stands at 6-5 overall, 4-2 in the conference

Whitefish Bay’s boys basketball team continued its winning ways Friday night, stretching their current winning streak to five games after downing Cedarburg, 63-35.

“We came out and we played very good defense, did a good job of working the ball around and had a lot of success,” Bay head coach Kevin Lazovik said.

The Blue Dukes had big games from their two biggest players as 6’6” Ron Patten hit three 3’s en route to his 17 points, while 6’8” Jamie Schneck added 16.

“The team did a good job of running the offense and they did a good job of finding them (Patten and Schneck),” Lazovik said. “Also, we had a really good performance from Grant Menard. He really provided us with some nice energy.”

The win moves Bay over .500 for the first time this season at 6-5 overall, 4-2 NSC. The Dukes next game isn’t until Friday night as the team focuses on their finals in the classroom this week before taking on Milwaukee Lutheran at home.
