Bay Boys Drop Second Straight Game

Dukes hand Grafton team its first conference win, 45-51.

The Whitefish Bay boys basketball team dropped their second straight game Friday night as they lost on the road at conference rival Grafton, 45-51.

“They (Grafton) came out with an intensity that we didn’t match,” Whitefish Bay head coach Kevin Lazovik said. “They played hard the whole game and they were able to switch defenses and we didn’t respond well to those switches. The shots didn’t fall for us, and we didn’t get to the hustle balls and they did.”

“There aren’t any ‘gimme’s’ in the North Shore Conference.”

Senior Ron Patten was the only Duke to score in double figures, netting 11.

This was the team’s second loss in as many games after a running off ten-straight and having not lost a game since Dec. 14 until this week.
