Bay Baseball Seeks Donations For New Field

Friends of Bay Baseball is more than halfway to its $200,000 fundraising goal, and is seeking donors to buy commemorative bricks around the new diamond.

The Whitefish Bay baseball boosters are seeking donations to fund a new baseball field.

So far, Friends of Bay Baseball President Carl Fuda said the organization is more than halfway to its  to install an artificial turf infield, two dugouts, a new scoreboard, batting cages and concrete stadium seating behind the backstop.

Fuda said he expects the group will meet its fundraising goal through a commemorative brick program, as well as future fundraising events.

Donors who pay $100 will be able to have a maximum of 60 characters engraved on a 4-inch by 8-inch brick that will be installed behind the concrete stadium seating. Donors who pay $250 will be able to have a maximum of 120 characters engraved on a 8-inch by 8-inch brick.

In addition to the $200,000 fundraising campaign, the field is also receiving  from the Whitefish Bay School District and .

The deadline to buy a commemorative brick is May 14. Bricks will be installed in conjunction with final landscaping of Cahill Park in the fall of 2013. If you are interested in donating, you can download the PDF order form at the top of the page.
