The Building Our Future grant program will completely pay for the first year of tuition for new students entering grades 1-7 and will also provide sizeable tuition grants to help pay tuition in future years at the school. All other students, both current and new, are eligible for grants to help make tuition more affordable at the school, which is located at 6401 N. Santa Monica Blvd.
In a news release, Brian King, Head of School at MJDS, said he was humbled by the unprecedented donation.
”It is encouraging and humbling that this local donor believes so deeply in the value of MJDS that the individual is making an extraordinary investment in our students and our school,” King said.
The grant program is being provided independent of financial need and can be combined with existing financial assistance programs.
“The program provides MJDS with a rock-solid foundation as we build for the future, enabling us to make our exceptional education even better by enhancing recruitment and retention, enriching the size and vibrancy of classrooms and serving as a springboard for future community investment in the school,” King said.
