Meet Riley Mewes, New High School Teacher

The Milwaukee native coaches club soccer and looks forward to teaching social studies and advising the senior class of student council.

The Whitefish Bay School District hired 22 new teachers this year, and Whitefish Bay Patch hopes to introduce all of them to the community before the school year gets underway.

Teaching position: Social Studies teacher at Whitefish Bay High School, Senior Class Adviser for Student Council

Hometown/Current community: My hometown is Milwaukee and I currently live in Menomonee Falls

Education/Experience: Undergraduate at UW-Parkside and Post-Graduate at Concordia.

Why did you choose Whitefish Bay? Whitefish Bay is a fantastic community and I am really excited to teach in such an excellent school.

Hobbies: I coach club soccer and love to travel

Favorite vacation you've ever taken: My favorite trip is a toss-up between Tanzania and Vietnam.
