Meet Greg Zupek, New High School Learning Center Teacher

Originally from Manitowoc, Mr. Zupek just graduated from UW-Madison and is excited to begin his teaching career in Whitefish Bay.

The Whitefish Bay School District hired 22 new teachers this year, and Whitefish Bay Patch hopes to introduce all of them to the community before the school year gets underway.

You can read their stories here.

Today, we will introduce you to teacher Greg Zupek, who will be taking the place of Learning Center teacher Beth Sutherland. Sutherland has taken on a new, broader role as the school's Instructional Resource Coordinator, which is a new position at the high school.

Teaching position: I will be teaching in the learning center at .

Hometown/Current community: I come from Manitowoc, WI and I currently live in Milwaukee.

Education/Experience: I attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  I just graduated in May, so this is my first "real" job!

Do you have any connection to Whitefish Bay? I don't have any serious connections to Whitefish Bay beyond friends who are from the community. I wanted to be a part of Whitefish Bay because it is a beautiful community that has schools with a tradition of excellence, and I wanted to be a part of that.

Hobbies: I love being active! Any sport or activity (running, swimming, weight lifting, basketball...).  I also love listening to and performing music!

Favorite place you've visited: I love visiting southern Florida. It has amazing beaches, great weather, and a great atmosphere.
