Mark Kapocius Leaving Whitefish Bay Schools

Kapocius is taking a job in the Greenfield School District, which is closer to his home in Greendale.

Whitefish Bay School District's director of human resources and special services is resigning to take a job in the Greenfield School District.

After three and a half years with Whitefish Bay, Kapocius said he pursued the human resources director position in Greenfield because of its close proximity to his Greendale home, its focus on human resources and the opportunity to help build a front office with a new team of administrators.

"I'm excited about Greenfield's new leadership in place and rebuilding the district's infrastructure," Kapocius said.

In the last three and a half years, Kapocius has helped Whitefish Bay navigate the changes of Act 10, as well as modifying post-retirement benefits.

"I think we’ve improved a lot of processes, hired quality staff, and our staff development is exceptional," he said. "Whitefish Bay is poised to be successful now and in the future."

Kapocius' experience in education began as a counselor at Whitefish Bay Middle School, where he stayed for two years. He began working toward his law degree while working as a counselor at Wauwatosa East High School, then gained additional human resources experience in Elmbrook and Germantown schools before returning to Whitefish Bay.

In addition to his human resources career, Kapocius also serves as municipal judge in Greendale, which holds court once per week.
