High School Principals Receive 'Patriot Award'
The award is given to supervisors that support military reserve employees through reserve duties, family care or granting leave of absences as needed.
Whitefish Bay High School Principals Bill Henkle and Kara Harmon were honored for their support for Naval Reserve employees.
The Patriot Award, presented by the Employer Support for the Guard and Reserve, is given to supervisors that support reserve employees whether it be time off for reserve duties, family care or granting leave of absences as needed.
Henkle and Harmon were nominated for the award by Billy Kraus, a high school student supervisor and Naval Reservist. Kraus said the two principals have provided general support for him, as well as assisting him in finding a substitute on short notice for a Naval Reserve training school.
