VIDEO: High School Choirs Prepare for an '80s Dance Party

Three extracurricular choirs will perform a medley of '80s songs Friday and Saturday nights at the Humphrey Scottish Rite Masonic Center in downtown Milwaukee.

Three choirs will perform “Rockin’ to the '80s!” — a concert featuring a variety of songs and medleys of pop artists from the 1980s including U2, Madonna, the B-52’s, Billy Joel — as well as other pop favorites from the '60s and '70s. 

The concert and silent auction will take place at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday in the downtown Milwaukee Humphrey Scottish Rite Masonic Center at 790 N. Van Buren St. 

The January Pops Concert, which is in its eighth year, features the Tower Singers, That Group and Cantorei.

This years pop concert will feature songs such as "Love Shack," "Georgia On My Mind," "Sittin' on the Dock of the Bay," "In the Name of Love," "The Way You Make Me Feel," and many more mini-medleys and dance party hits.

During intermission guests will be invited to enjoy complimentary desserts, purchase flowers for performers and browse the silent auction. Cash or checks will be accepted.  All proceeds will support the Whitefish Bay High School choir program.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students and seniors. It is open seating. Tickets can be ordered by contacting Beth Pfluger at (414) 964-0240 or a beth@pfluger.org.
