What You Need to Know to Vote Tuesday

With nearly 850 absentee ballots in the bag so far, a heavy overall turnout is expected in the village in Tuesday's recall election.

The recall election between Sandy Pasch and Alberta Darling will yield a heavy turnout in Whitefish Bay on Tuesday, if the absentee voting numbers are any indication.

Village Clerk Jen Amerell said more than 800 ballots have been cast so far, and she expects the final total to be close to 850 absentee ballots.

"That's mind-boggling to me," she said. "That's a higher amount than we thought."

Whitefish Bay's voter turnout percentage averages in the high 80s in major elections, so with extensive media coverage and campaign spending, Amerell said turnout will likely be on the high side.

"It's either going to be really dead because everyone voted already or we'll be totally swamped," Amerell said.
