Week Ahead: Bonds for Mandel Project on Village Board's Plate

A week away from Christmas Eve and still no snow here in Whitefish Bay — perhaps a system moving through Wednesday into Thursday could get it done.

What else is happening around town this week? Here are five things you need to know in Whitefish Bay.

Official business: Monday, the Village Board discusses issuing bonds for the Mandel Group apartment project and other items beginning at 6 p.m. The Plan Commission has a short agenda for a 7 p.m. Tuesday meeting, with a primary task of considering a conditional use permit for Orange Shoe Personal Fitness at 111 E. Silver Spring Drive.

Free flick: The Whitefish Bay Public Library’s new Tuesday continues this week with Friends With Kids. Bring your own popcorn, snacks and soda.

Hooping it up: The Whitefish Bay High School boys basketball team plays Menomonee Falls at the Al McGuire Center on the Marquette University campus at 6:30 p.m. Saturday.  The girls team, meanwhile, takes on Dominican at 5 p.m. at the Fieldhouse.
