Last Call for Tax Help

Taxpayers of all ages are able to receive free tax help at Whitefish Bay Library on Wednesday.

If the upcoming April 15 tax deadline has you freaked out, know that help is available nearby at the Whitefish Bay Library.

Wednesday is the last chance for taxpayers of all ages to have their 2012 returns prepared free at the Whitefish Bay Library. TaxAide volunteers, sponsored by the IRS and the AARP Foundation, can do most ordinary tax returns, but does not prepare returns for married taxpayers filing separately, or returns involving rental property, home offices, businesses with more than $5,000 in expenses and some other complicated issues.

Tax help is available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday in the upstairs community room. Taxpayers should bring picture identification, social security cards, 2011 tax returns, W-2s, 1099s and all other tax-related documents they have received.
