Health Department Offers Flu Shots

Flu shots are available this week at the North Shore Library and Shorewood Village Center.

The North Shore Health Department will host flu shot clinics on the following dates: 

  • Thursday, October 17, 3:30-5:30 p.m., at the North Shore Library
  • Saturday, October 19, 9-11 a.m., at Shorewood Village Center
  • Saturday, October 26, 9-11 a.m. at Brown Deer Village Hall. 

The North Shore Health Department is able to offer flu vaccine for adults of all ages for $30-$35 (depending on the type of vaccine) or they will bill original Medicare for adults with original Medicare. 

Flu immunizations can be provided to children who do not have health insurance or whose health insurance does not cover flu immunizations at a reduced cost using publicly funded vaccine from the Vaccine for Children Program.

The Health Department is also able to immunize children whose health insurance covers flu immunizations with privately purchased vaccine at a cost of $30 - $35 (depending on the type of vaccine).
