Forum Addresses Local Impact of Walker's Budget

Local education officials will share their perspectives Tuesday night at Whitefish Bay High School.

How will Gov. Scott Walker's proposed budget cuts affect the North Shore?

A panel of local education officials will share their perspectives of the budget's local impact from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the auditorium of , 1200 E. Fairmount Ave. The forum will address topics such as schools, services, taxes, seniors, health care and the environment.

Panel members include Glendale-River Hills School District Superintendent Larry Smalley, Milwaukee County Supervisor Theodore Lipscomb, Whitefish Bay School Board member Cheryl Maranto, and Jack Norman, Research Director at The Institute for Wisconsin's Future.

The panel is being sponsored by North Shore Citizens' Group. The moderator of the event is Charlie Dee.
