Patch rounds up everything you need to know about today's election

If the Milwaukee County Executive race and the Wisconsin Supreme Court race are not enough to draw voters to the polls today, Whitefish Bay also has two important elections on the ballot: four write-in candidates vying for two Village Board seats and a new candidate challenging two School Board incumbents.

Who's on the ballot?

While there are no listed candidates on the ballot for Village Trustee, four write-in trustee candidates are vying for two vacant seats on the Village Board.

Voters will be asked to draw a line next to the write-in candidate designation, then write in two of the four candidates: William Demet, , Lauri Rollings (Patch coverage and ) or .

Because write-in votes are not calculated by voting machines, election results in the Village Board race will not be counted until Wednesday, when the Board of Canvassers meet.

The top two write-in candidates in the election each will win a trustee seat, assuming they are legally qualified. A special election would be held in the event of a tie.

In the Whitefish Bay School Board election, attorney Anne Berleman Kearney, a political newcomer, is challenging six-year incumbents Marie Greco and Jim Phillips in a three-way race for two board seats. Terms are three years long.

In the Milwaukee County Executive race, Philanthropist Chris Abele will run against Republican lawmaker Jeff Stone.

The race for the Supreme Court will also be on the ballot, with Justice David Prosser battling challenger JoAnne Kloppenburg for a 10-year term on the bench.

And Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Pedro Colon is being challenged by Christoper R. Lipscomb Sr. for the Branch 18 seat.

Where to vote?

There will be four polling places in the village.

Wards 1, 2, 3, and 4 vote at the (upstairs program room).  Wards 5 and 6 vote at the , 5300 N. Marlborough Drive.  Wards 7, 8, and 9 vote at the .  Wards 10, 11, and 12 vote at . See the map above to see which ward you live in.

The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

To find out where to vote or whether you're registered, check out the state's Voter Public Access web site. You also can find a sample ballot on the site.

If you haven't registered to vote yet, you can do so at the polls on Tuesday as long as you have proof of residence, which can include a driver's license or state identification card, a utility bill, property tax bills, leases and other documents.
