Citizens Fight To Get Big Money Out Of Politics [Video]
A local effort is afoot to push for a constitutional amendment that supporters say would get big money out of politics.
Tom Heppe of Shorewood manned a post outside the Whitefish Bay Public Library on Wednesday as he valiantly tried to get library patrons to sign a campaign finance reform petition.
The petition, being circulated in Whitefish Bay and Shorewood by members of Grassroots Northshore, ultimately is aimed at getting a constitutional amendment passed that would allow campaign spending by corporations to be regulated.
About 40 people in the two village seeking signatures. Patch will have more on their effort on Thursday.
