Whitefish Bay police are still investigating the accident. Interim Police Chief Ron Stefanski said the side swipe accident occurred at 2 p.m. Saturday at Fairmount Avenue and Lake Drive. The Vespa scooter and the car were traveling in the same direction. Police are investigating whether Drewek's Vespa hit the car, or if the car hit the Vespa.

An autopsy report indicated Drewek's death was the result of the accident. Drewek was wearing a helmet. No citations will be issued until the investigation is complete, Stefanski said.
