Twelve Unlocked Vehicles Entered in One Night

The auto entries occurred on Kent Avenue and Bay Ridge Avenue between Lexington Boulevard and Silver Spring Drive.

Twelve unlocked vehicles were entered in one night last week on the west end of the village.

The auto entries occurred the night of May 18 on Kent Avenue and Bay Ridge Avenue between Lexington Boulevard and Silver Spring Drive. The crimes occurred overnight and were reported the following day on May 19.

  • A mountain bike was stolen from an open garage in the 5500 block of Kent Avenue sometime between 11 p.m. May 18 and 8 a.m. May 19. The unknown suspect also entered an unlocked vehicle parked in a side driveway. 
  • An unlocked vehicle parked in a driveway in the 5500 block of kent Avenue was rummaged through sometime between midnight and 8 a.m. on May 19.
  • A pair of Rayban sunglasses and $200 in cash was stolen from two unlocked vehicles parked in the 5400 block of Kent Avenue sometime between 10 p.m. May 18 and 10 a.m. on May 19.
  • Two unlocked vehicles were entered in the 5400 block of Kent Avenue sometime between 10 p.m. May 18 and 10 a.m. May 19. 
  • A small Tupperware container and $30 in change was stolen from two unlocked vehicles parked in an unlocked garage in the 5500 block of Kent Avenue.
  • Three pieces of mail were stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in a driveway in the 5500 block of Bay Ridge Avenue sometime between 10:30 p.m. May 18 and 12:30 p.m. May 19. 
  • Three dollars in change was stolen from the console of an unlocked vehicle parked in a driveway in the 5500 block of Bay Ridge Avenue sometime between 9:45 p.m. on May 18 and 8 a.m. May 19.
  • Five dollars in change was stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in a driveway in the 5300 block of Kent Avenue sometime between 12 a.m. and 5:45 a.m. on May 19. 
  • About $4 in change was stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in a driveway in the 5300 block of Kent Avenue sometime between midnight and 11:30 a.m. on May 19.
