Stepdad Charged With Incest, Sexual Exploitation
The 38-year-old man faces a maximum 80 years in prison if convicted.
A 38-year-old Whitefish Bay man has been charged for sexual relations with his teenage stepdaughter.
The man has been charged with sexual exploitation of a child and incest of a child (step parent). Both charges are class C felonies that each carry a maximum 40-year prison sentence or $100,000 in fines.
The alleged sexual exploitation took place for nearly a year, from Dec. 2012 to Sept. 2013. The mother suspected something was wrong because the child was not acting like herself. Eventually she found nude images on a cell phone and reported the matter to Whitefish Bay police, according to a criminal complaint.
Whitefish Bay Police Chief Michael Young said police do not believe the man had inappropriate sexual contact with any other minors in Whitefish Bay.
The man's identity and the victim's specific age are not being released in the interest of protecting the victim's identity. He was arrested Friday night and is still in custody. Cash bond has been set at $1,000.
