Smash-and-Grab Theft Reported at Community Center
Two suspects wanted in connection with theft of about $2,000 worth of items from vehicle.
Whitefish Bay police have sent out a crime bulletin to neighboring police departments in search of two people who smashed a car window and stole a purse from a vehicle parked in the lot.
The suspects smashed the window at about 8:30 a.m. Wednesday and stole a $900 purse containing $1,000 in valuables, including a $250 camera, a $200 cell phone, $300 in cosmetics, as well as credit cards and other items. According to police reports, the suspect vehicle is a newer model Chevrolet sport utility vehicle with black tinted windows and out-of-state license plates, possibly from Florida.

- About $7 in change was taken from an unlocked vehicle parked in a driveway in the 5500 block of North Lake Drive sometime between 11 p.m. Wednesday and 6 a.m. Thursday.
- An iPod and a car stereo faceplate were stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked on the street on the 6100 block of North Shoreland Avenue. The theft took place sometime between 6:30 p.m. and midnight Friday. The iPod is valued at $200 and the faceplate is valued at $100.
