The two students were talking in the high school link area, near the fieldhouse lobby, after athletic practice around 5:15 p.m. when the boy asked the 16-year-old girl to walk him to his locker. When they reached the bottom of a stairwell, the girl told police that he started kissing her, despite her saying "stop" and "let me go."

According to the girl, the boy said he would let her go if she would perform oral sex on him. The girl told police the boy then forced her to perform oral sex on him. She told police she punched him in the stomach, which caused him to let go of her. She then ran up the stairs and out of the stairwell.

The boy told police a different story, saying she initiated the kissing and sexual contact.

In a letter to parents sent Tuesday, school district officials said they contacted Whitefish Bay police as soon as they were made aware of the assault. The district also said it is in the process of taking appropriate disciplinary measures.

"Student safety and supervision is of utmost importance to the district," Superintendent Mary Gavigan said in the letter. "All of the schools in our district continually have reviews and upgrades to insure student safety."
