Top-Shelf Wine Thief Arrested at Sendik's

The latest reports from the Whitefish Bay police logs also include a bicyclist who was hit by a car door.

A wine thief with expensive taste stole two bottles of wine totaling $232 in value from Sendik's at 7:58 p.m. on Aug. 11. The man was caught and cited for retail theft.

Later in the week on the other side of the village, another man was caught stealing a cartload of Red Bull and vodka from CVS Pharmacy at 9:27 a.m. on Aug. 16. An employee recovered the merchandise from the man in the parking lot. The man was gone by the time police arrived.

  • A high-school aged boy was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia on Lexington Boulevard at 1:26 p.m. on Aug. 13.
  • A resident in the 4800 block of Elkhart Avenue reports that someone entered her home through an open window and stole one of her cigarettes at 6:50 p.m. on Aug. 10.
  • A woman opened her parked car door and struck a female bicyclist at 10:12 a.m. on Aug. 15 in the 4900 block of North Berkeley Boulevard. The cyclist was transported to the hospital.
