Police Report: Underage Drinking Party; Car Accident With Injuries

The latest reports from the Whitefish Bay Police Department.

Seven juveniles between the ages of 17 and 19 were cited for underage drinking when police showed up to an underage drinking party Saturday night.

Police responded to the house in the 4700 block of Elkhart Avenue at 9 p.m. after a neighbor called the police to report kids running in her yard with flashlights. In addition to the underage drinking citations, a 17-year-old boy was also taken into custody for possession of marijuana.

Of the seven juveniles cited, one was from Milwaukee, and the rest were from Whitefish Bay.

In other Whitefish Bay police news:

  • An 81-year-old Shorewood woman was transported to a hospital for chest pain after she was involved in a car accident at Santa Monica Boulevard and Henry Clay Drive at 5:49 p.m. Wednesday. The woman reportedly drove her car through a red light and struck a car operated by a 30-year-old Whitefish Bay man, who declined medical treatment for a possible hand injury. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. The woman was cited for violating a traffic signal.
  • A laptop computer was stolen from a basement storage locker of an apartment building in the 900 block of East Henry Clay Street sometime between 10 a.m. Jan. 29 and 8:20 a.m. Thursday.
  • Two 19-year-old girls from Hartland and Milwaukee were taken into custody for underage drinking in the 5300 block of Idlewild Avenue at 4 a.m. Saturday. The Milwaukee girl was also cited for possessing a fake ID and obstructing an officer.
  • A 20-year-old Milwaukee girl was stopped in the 4900 block of North Anita Avenue, and was transported to the police department under multiple warrants through West Bend Police Department. She posted bond and was cited for operating after suspension and an underage alcohol violation.
  • Whitefish Bay police stopped a vehicle suspected of a gas drive-off at the BP station at 525 W. Silver Spring at 5:34 p.m. Jan 30. The driver was told to return to the gas station to meet a police officer and pay for gas. The driver's credit card did not work at the pump.
