Two Smash-and-Grab Thefts From Cars at Klode

Also in last week's Whitefish Bay police reports: An 83-year-old man drove into a stop sign because he was distracted by a dog on the sidewalk.

Police are investigating two vehicle break-ins that occurred in the east parking lot Friday morning.

The suspect broke into two cars around 11:30 a.m. Friday by smashing the side windows. An iPod touch and two wallets were taken from one vehicle and no items appeared to be missing from the second vehicle.

Witnesses called the police, but the suspect had left before police arrived on the scene. The possible suspect vehicle, white in color, looked similar to an older model Chevrolet Suburban, according to witness accounts.
